| This year marks our 4th year of creating this award for BMW Ireland on behalf of Verve Live Agency. This year's Sustainability Champion of the Year awards was held in Munich, Germany in March. We were contacted late last year to begin designing and then production on this award. The stone element which makes up the base was sourced from James Gogarty Stone on the Donore Road in County Meath. This limestone is locally sourced Ross limestone, found in the Boyne Valley and Nanny Valley which are both local to our workshop in Duleek, Co. Meath, near Drogheda, Co. Louth. The sustainability logo was first laser-etched into black composite aluminium, then cut down to size. Our fiber laser makes quick and accurate work of this kind of engraving and produces a beautiful, high contrast result. The wooden element was made from locally sourced beech wood which was cut, sanded and shaped to fit the proof. It was then laser engraved using our CO2 laser in-house in our workshop. The engraving was then darkened to ensure the words and logos were clear and legible. A circular section was cut to inlay the Sustainability logo into the wood. The wood was then treated and sealed to create a long-lasting beautiful finish. Contact us about your custom award queries today. |
